Superload review can require detailed axle data, engineering, route surveys, agency coordination, escorts, utilities, traffic control and longer approval times.

When is bridge engineering required?

A permitting authority may require bridge analysis when the gross weight, axle loading or configuration exceeds routine review limits or affects specific structures. The agency determines the required method and documentation. Provide accurate axle weights, spacings and vehicle geometry; a total cargo weight alone is not enough for structural evaluation.

Why can a superload require several transport days?

Travel windows, daylight rules, curfews, escorts, police, utility work, bridge restrictions, staging and low operating speeds can divide a route into controlled segments. The itinerary must align every permit and third party. Mileage alone therefore does not predict transit time, and pickup should not be promised before those dependencies are scheduled.
